I know this photo is not that great, but we were about to start the baptism service, and Ben was not wanting to take any more photos, and keep others waiting. We do not take any photos or videos during the actual baptism, so it's a very special and sacred moment that all who are in attendance share together. We had a whole big room full of friends and family. All the little cousins and Aunts and Uncles sang one of CJ's favorite church song entitled, " If the Savior Stood Beside Me". Listen to it! http://broadcast.lds.org/churchmusic/Primary/PR_IfTheSavior_eng.mp3Aunt Julianna played the piano while we sang and it was a very tender moment. We also had a talk on baptism given by Grandma Sivert, and a talk on the Holy Ghost given by a friend of ours. After the actual baptism, CJ and Ben changed into their dry clothes, Ben and His dad, and my dad and all the Uncles that were there gave CJ a beautiful blessing bestowing the gift of the Holy Ghost on him and confirming him a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The sweet and calm spirit of the Lord was with us that day and we all felt the warm peaceful joy inside our hearts during this special time. I couldn't help but feel like I have having another little taste of heaven. Similar to the feelings you have inside when you hold your newborn baby for the first time. The overwhelming love and joy you feel inside during that quiet tender moment. That's what it feels like for me during a baptismal service. It's just a wonderful feeling to feel the Lord that close to you. And even better to feel it while you are with so many family members and friends there feeling the same thing!
Grandma and Papa Carr (below) and Me and my little family (above) with CJ before the baptism service started.
Jake and Marianne were also here with us, but they weren't at the church yet when we were taking photos. I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that they made the long trip from Utah to be with us on this special day.
Grandma and Grandad Sivert with CJ before we the baptism. I am trying to find the link from the Church's official website, www.lds.org that has the song we sang so you can hear it. It's just so beautiful!http://broadcast.lds.org/churchmusic/Primary/PR_IfTheSavior_eng.mp3
The above link it the song we sang. You might have to wait a little bit for it to down load, but PLEASE listen to it, and picture all the little cousins singing it.

What a gorgeous family. I'm so glad you had so many extended relations there (does that sound like you are from Arkansas?).
Congratulations to CJ too. What a special day.
And that is one of my favorite songs and I love that they are learning it in primary this year!
