"Helping" Daddy make garden boxes...

A couple of weeks ago Ben (and the kids-sort of) made some garden boxes in our little back yard. We decided to keep the garden closer to home instead of over at the citrus lot where we usually have a pretty huge garden. This will be easier to take care of now.

As you can see Tommy was a great help to Ben by handing him the screws he needed as he was putting the boxes together.
This must have been RIGHT AFTER the boys worked up a major sweat helping Ben shovel in the dirt for the newly made garden box. I must have caught them right when they were taking a break from all their hard work...NOT! It was a typical constuction site: 1 man actually working and two or more just watching.

CJ was just told by Ben that he gets to have an entire row of onions all to himself. CJ LOVES onions. The kids were in charge of planting the seeds for their assigned veggies. They are also supposed to each water their assigned garden boxes every day.

Here the children are planting their rows of veggies. Camerin took the role of "quality control manager" (big surprise there!)

"No! Joe! You're doing it wrong! " Camerin steps in after getting frustrated with Joe's efforts. She just HAD to show him the RIGHT way...

Tommy playing in our basil bushes... he smells good enough to eat after messing around in those things!

I need to get my 'handyman' to build some of these! Any hints Ben wants to pass on to Blaine?
