Joe's on the "Scrappers" team. It was fun watching the ball game, especially when things get really exciting. For example:
Joe's up to bat. He swings. And he misses. He swings again, and he misses. On the third pitch , WACK! He hits it, and it goes right to the pitcher--- Joe just stand there and all the parents on our side are yelling, "RUN JOE RUN! RUN! RUN! As we are all pointing towards first base. Meanwhile, the little pitcher gets the ball and then just stands there while all the parents on the other team are yelling, " THROW THE BALL! THROW THE BALL!"
As they are all pointing towards first base as well. Finally, both the boys realize what's happening. Joe starts to run, and the pitcher throws the ball. Joe's out.
TALK ABOUT EXCITEMENT!
Of course, I can't forget to mention how thrilling it was to watch my son in the out field trying to catch bugs with his baseball glove, swat at "huge mosquito's" ( non stop) and then decide he's just too bored waiting out there for a ball to come, so he just sits down and plays with the blades of grass. What makes it even more interesting is the fact that Ben is one of the assistant coaches for the team, so he was going nuts with it all.

As you can see we had a gorgeous sun set that night, and Tommy enjoyed the game as much as the rest of us, as you can tell by the last picture! I forgot to rotate it, so you'll have to tilt your head.
My life suddenly got turned up side down when the boys started baseball. We are still trying to figure out how to make time for everything else that needs to be done as well. Too bad the boys coul'dnt have gotten on the same team, that would have been so nice and so less stressful! But, they are on different teams which practice on different days an have games at different days and times as well. I'm happy they get to have this experience though, they are having a blast. That's Ben as the umpire for the game. Thankfully he didnt get boo'd or anything.
